School Sacramental Program

  • First Reconciliation is an important and gentle step in a child’s faith journey, where they begin to understand God’s boundless love and mercy. Through this sacrament, children are introduced to the meaning of forgiveness, healing, and the joy of being reconciled with God. Our parish works closely with families and schools to ensure children feel supported, prepared, and confident as they approach this sacred moment. The preparation process encourages reflection, prayer, and open conversation about God’s compassion and care for each person.

Parents and carers play a vital role in helping their children grow in faith, and our parish warmly invites families to journey together throughout this process. We encourage parents to speak with their children about forgiveness and God’s love in everyday life. Through shared learning and parish support, families are strengthened in their relationship with God and one another. First Reconciliation marks the beginning of a lifelong understanding of God’s mercy within our parish community.

Our 2026 First Reconciliation program begins with an information evening on 20/10/2026, followed by 4 weeks of lessons for parents and children to learn more about the important of penance, and finally culminating in the partaking of the sacrament.

  • First Holy Communion is a joyful and deeply meaningful milestone for children and their families. Through this sacrament, children receive the Eucharist for the first time and are welcomed more fully into the life of the Church. Our parish supports children as they learn about the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist and the significance of gathering as a faith community. Preparation focuses on prayer, understanding, and fostering a sense of reverence and gratitude.

Families are warmly encouraged to take part in this important stage of preparation and celebration. Our parish believes that faith is nurtured within the home as well as through parish life. By celebrating First Holy Communion together, families strengthen their connection to Christ and to our parish community. This sacrament invites children to continue growing in faith and participating actively in the life of the Church.

Our 2026 First Holy Communion program begins with an information evening on 12/05/2026, followed by 4 weeks of lessons for parents and children to learn more about Jesus’ real presence in the Eucharist, and finally culminating in the partaking of the sacrament.

  • Confirmation is a powerful sacrament in which young people are strengthened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It marks an important moment where candidates are called to take greater ownership of their faith and their place within the Church. Our parish supports young people as they reflect on their beliefs, deepen their prayer life, and grow in understanding of their relationship with God. Preparation encourages openness, engagement, and a sense of responsibility to live out the values of the Gospel.

Parents, sponsors, and families are essential companions in this journey, and our parish values their involvement and support. Confirmation is not an end, but a beginning — inviting young people to continue growing as active members of our parish community. Through this sacrament, candidates are encouraged to recognise their gifts and use them in service to others. Together, we journey as a parish, supporting our young people as they grow in faith, confidence, and commitment.

Our 2026 Confirmation program begins with an information evening on 28/07/2026, followed by 4 weeks of lessons for parents and children to learn more about the reception of the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit. The program then concludes when candidates receive the Holy Spirit in celebration of the sacrament of Confirmation.
